MLK Memorial – Million Motorcyclists Motorcade (M5 Project)
Bikers With Heart Foundation Inc. and Motorcyclists Who Care are two widely
respected 501C-3 non-profit charitable motorcyclist organizations that have found an
audience and support within the Motorcyclist Community over the last 5 years.
Motorcyclists Who Care (MWC) & Bikers With Heart Foundation (BWHF) have
partnered with the Martin Luther King Foundation fundraising to offset the 20 million
dollar shortage currently being faced by the MLK Foundation to meet the
construction/operational funding of the Martin Luther King (MLK) Memorial scheduled
for completion on the Washington, DC Mall in 2008.  Both organizations have agreed
to work as one to put into effect a fundraising and awareness campaign among the
8.8 million motorcyclists, enthusiasts and various commercial entities that make up
the motorcycle community.  On January 19 – 21, 2007, over 1000+ motorcyclists
met in Atlanta, GA for the 4th Annual Public Relation Officers (PRO) Convention at
the Renaissance Concourse Hotel.  Bikers With Heart Foundation & Motorcyclists
Who Care  announced to over 1000+ motorcyclists from across the country the MLK
Memorial Foundation’s requests for donations and distributed over 300
pamphlets requesting donations from each respective club and individual.  MWC &
BWHF also announced our commitment to organize the:

“2008 MLK Memorial - Million Motorcyclists Motorcade”
August 29 – Sept 1, 2008 (Labor Day Weekend)

(M5 Project) on the 45th Anniversary Weekend recognizing the March on
Washington, DC., which resulted in a standing ovation after the announcement.

We are officially calling upon the motorcycle brotherhood to organize and support the
MLK Memorial by participating in the MLK Memorial Million Motorcyclists Motorcade
campaign (M5 Project) among the thousands of motorcycle clubs, social clubs and
charitable organizations. It is our intention to rally motorcyclists from around the
country and in our respective communities to be apart of this historic commitment of
honoring a man who gave so much of himself for the rights and freedoms to his fellow
man and woman so that generations to come could be given the right and the
practiced philosophy of  judging a person by the content of their character rather
than the color of their skin, religion, gender or orientation.  Although many of todayâ
€™s motorcyclists in society were not able or born during the Civil Rights years, we
all are the beneficiaries of his commitment and sacrifice that has allowed many of us
in our generation to prosper as oppose to the millions of Americans prior to the Civil
Rights movement denied their opportunity to vote, unrealized dreams, human dignity,
career  advancement, fair housing, financial equity, woman’s choice to pursue a
career outside the home or become a Presidential candidate and a host of other
economic and political tools this great country has to offer it’s citizens.  Many of
us may not have been able to “March” during the Civil Rights era, but we sure
as heck are ready to “March” today or in our case ride our motorcycles in
numbers to celebrate one of America’s greatest heroes and remind our fellow
Americans when one American is denied his or her rights, then we all lose our rights
to Freedom!

We are asking every motorcyclists, enthusiasts and American citizens to become a
supporter of the M5 Project and contact either Ben “SSiiXX” Green  (Maryland
State Director) (240) 506-5714 email: BLGJR72@gmail.com , or myself Howard â
€œDirty Dealer” Clifton Jr. (Nat’l M5 Co-Chair) at (240-299-5147),
ddealerent@aol.com immediately, and get involved as a volunteer for the MLK
Memorial – Million Motorcyclists Motorcade August 29 – Sept 1, 2008 and help
us to  financially make a difference to this great nation today. They marched for us,
now it’s our time to ride for the future.

It’s Time To Make The Dream a Reality!

Motto: We Ride Because We Care!
Martin Luther King Jr. Ride 2008 10/17/07
MC Community-

Have you ever wondered what our lives would be like without the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr.?  Would we be able to hold non-violent protests that produce victorious results?  Would we
have the Civil Rights act of 1964?  All of our lives have been touched by the contributions of Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr.  He has helped shape American and international fundamental values of
democracy, justice, hope, and love.  He became our social conscience by creating social
awareness of the injustices inflicted not only on African Americans, but people from all walks of
life.

Bikers With Heart and Motorcyclists Who Care, in partnership with the Washington, DC Martin
Luther King, Jr., National Project Foundation. Inc. have joined together to implement the Martin
Luther King, Jr., Memorial Million Motorcyclists Motorcade (M5 Project) to raise money to begin
construction on the Martin Luther King Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC.  The
construction of the memorial cannot begin until the remaining $16 million balance of the total $100
million payment is raised.

Let us join together in the MC Community to implement the M5 Project and show the world that we
have not forgotten the contributions that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has made in our lives.  On August
29 - September 1, 2008, the MC Community will stand together in the masses in support of the
Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC. and will go down
in history as the largest motorcycle motorcade to financially support the first memorial on the
National Mall in recognition of an African American.  Imagine, hundreds of thousands of
motorcyclists making a pilgrimage to Washington, DC to support the memorializing of one of the
most effective messengers of the American Dream - Freedom, Democracy and Opportunity For All;
a noble quest that continues to influence people and societies throughout the world.

Your financial contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and will be recognized
by future generations at the Martin Luther King Memorial's virtual visitor’s center.

Greetings Family,

Don't talk about it, be about it.  Your community needs you.
The MLK Jr Memorial - Million Motorcyclists Motorcade & 45th Anniversary of the March on
Washington (August 29 - Sept 1, 2008) is fast approaching and 29 states have no
representation or leadership in place to rep their state, community or family. With the MLK Jr.
National Memorial approaching it's 100 million dollar mark to break ground on the National
Mall in Washington, DC in April/May 2008.

It's time to send you the list of states missing or communities missing M5 leadership.  Below
are the states we could surely use someone with the time, energy and passion to take a lead
position with spreading the word on the MLK Jr. National - Memorial Million Motorcyclists
Motorcade or M5 Project and motivating our brethren to raise the remaining 10 million dollars
for the construction of the MLK National Memorial on the National Mall in Washington
alongside the Potomac River between the Jefferson Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.
Groundbreaking is projected around April/May this year with completion projected for August
2009.  At the time of this e-mail 90 million has been raised, ten million is needed.  It's time for
the Urban biker nation to be recognized for humanitarian efforts to society and what better way
to display our compassion for freedom and peace then honoring Dr. MLK Jr. and the men and
women that believed in a dream.  Now we have an opportunity to turn that Dream into a
National Monument of reality.  Everyone contributing a minimum of $35.00 will see their names
registered in the Dr MLK Jr Visitor Center Kiosks for decades to come.  That's right your name
will be immortalized and all clubs contributing a minimum of $500.00 will receive the same
recognition.

Isn't it time to step up and be counted on a National Level.  Need more info stop by:
www.mlkm5project. com or www.myspace.com/ mlkm5project   What are you waiting for a
personal  invitation?  Well here is your personal quote from a simple civil rights marcher.

The majority of the Negroes who took part in the year long boycott of Montgomery's buses were
poor and untutored; but they understood the essence of the Montgomery movement; one
elderly woman summed it up for the rest.  When asked after several weeks of walking whether
she was tired, she answered: "My feet is tired, but my soul is at rest."

MLK Jr. Memorial – Million Motorcyclists Motorcade (M5 Project)

Greetings Family

Have you ever wondered what our lives would be like without the contributions of Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr.?  Would we be able to hold non-violent protests that produce victorious results?
Would we have the Civil Rights act of 1964?

In the coming weeks I will put forward some kernel pieces of knowledge that I hope you will
discuss with others as you make your decision to support, participate or ignore this one time
opportunity of being apart of the dream. You do not have to be a motorcyclist or make the ride to
be a part of  history.

For many of you, what I'm about to point out will probably be considered impossible because
you never experienced what your parents, grandparents, great, grandparents, great great
grandparents & others experienced prior to Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement and even
today in certain parts of our country in one form or another.  Now I want you to see the real life
and the unimaginable  up to 1958:

1. Slavery
2. Right to Lynch men & women of color for the smallest infraction
3. Inability to obtain fair wages for your work in comparison to others
4. Men & women of color inability to vote
5. Men & women of color inability to run for office
6. Men & women of color inability to purchase or own land or a house
7.  The right to live in any neighborhood you can economically afford
8. Inability to obtain a good education
9. Women considered chattel property
10. Women could be raped or pummeled without punishment
11. Women of color could not be educated
12. Women & Men of color could only work low pay menial jobs
13. Women had no rights
14.  Women could not even consider a career or run for civil office
15. Women were to be seen and not heard! Does the words barefoot & pregnant ring a bell?

On August 29 – September 1, 2008, the everyday citizen and Motorcycle Community will stand
together in the masses in support to build the
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial on the National Mall in Washington , DC ,

Your $35.00 financial registration contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and
will be recognized by future generations at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial’s
Visitor Center .  You will receive the following:

2. Patch
3. Pin
4. Your name registered in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Visitor Center kiosk
on the National Mall in Washington , DC , when it is completed in 2009.  This is the very first
time a National Memorial will allow the average citizen to have naming rights on a National
Memorial.  A legacy you will be able to pass on for generations to come.
